Dick Schick’s 32nd Annual Lake Zurich Fishing Derby for AGES: 16 YEARS AND UNDER
Welcome to the 32nd Annual Dick Schick Fishing Derby. This fishing derby is in celebration and honor of, Lake Zurich resident and former community teacher, Dick Schick who ran this free community event for 25 years.
All participants must register on the day of the event before starting to fish (registration is free and is located under Shelter A). Fishing shall not begin before 9 am to be eligible for prizes, fish must be registered by 11:29 am Participants may fish from the shore of Paulus Park, or from boats or other shoreline areas.
There are five categories of fish:
- Bass
- Muskie
- Northern
- Panfish (crappie, blue gill, and perch)
- Walley
Participants must bring your own fishing pole and bait.
