1st Electrical Vehicle Station Comes to Lake Zurich

The east parking lot of Village Hall now features a  ChargePoint Electrical Vehicle (EV) charge station. This is the first operational public charge station in Lake Zurich!

It is expected to attract visitors to the Main Street area, that can charge their electric vehicles while dining, having ice cream or enjoying the close by Breezewald Park and the Sunset Pavilion.

ChargePoint operates more than 63,000 charging spots in the U.S. ChargePoint provides a free app and smart card which are used to activate the station.

This EV station contributes to Lake Zurich's ongoing effort to reduce the impact on our environment. Two vehicles can charge at the same time at the rate of  $1 per hour.

The station is also listed on PlugShare, a popular app used by EV owners to find places to charge.
