Village Clerk

The Village Clerk is the official keeper of the village seal, all records and papers, and is the agent for publications of notices to comply with our Open Meetings Act. The Village Clerk is a deputy registrar for voters and records legal documents pertaining to tax levies and properties. The Village Clerk attends village board meetings to keep a record of its proceedings. Office responsibilities are handled by the Village Manager's Office and Deputy Village Clerk.

April 6, 2021 Consolidated Election

Polls will be open 6:00 am - 7:00 pm for the Tuesday, April 6, 2021 local elections.  During this election, the following Village of Lake Zurich positions will be up for re-election.

  • Village President
  • Village Trustee
  • Village Trustee

  • Village Clerk
These are all four year terms.  Key dates to remember leading up to April 6, 2021:

  • Tuesday, September 22, 2020:  First day to circulate nomination papers for independent and new political party candidates in municipalities.

  • Monday, December 14, 2020:  First day for candidates to file original nomination petitions at Village Hall, starting at 8 am.

  • Monday, December 21, 2020:  Last day for candidates to file original nomination petitions at Village Hall, ending at 5 pm.

  • Wednesday, December 30, 2020:  Lottery for simultaneous filings of candidates.  Starting at 9:00 am.

April 2, 2019 Consolidated Election
During the most recent local election on April 2, 2019, Lake Zurich's voter turnout was just over 8% (compared with 11% for Lake County as a whole).  During this election, Lake Zurich contained 13,602 registered voters.

Certified election results from the County Clerk's Office resulted in the following individuals being elected to the Village Board for 4-year terms.
