Rock the Block

The Village of Lake Zurich will host its 13th annual downtown event, Rock the Block, on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 5-11 pm 

Rock The Block is an outdoor festival where attendees can Dine, Dance, and Discover downtown Lake Zurich. Three live bands will take the stage for an evening of music, food, and fun for adults. 

Musical entertainment plays on a covered stage at the corner of Old Rand Road and Main Street. Three bands will perform from 5 pm -11 pm. The night begins with The Ron Burgundy's at 5 pm; then Libido Funk Circus switches it up at 6:45 pm. At 9 pm 7th heaven returns as a crowd favorite! 

The event will be held on Main Street in Lake Zurich, (approximately 70 E. Main Street). To accommodate the event, Main Street will be closed from Church Street to Old Rand beginning at 9 am on the day of the event.

Food

A variety of food items will be for sale from area food truck vendors, and local eateries on Main Street will also be opening their doors that evening.  Water and other non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. 
  
  


RTB Crowd

Beverages & Food

No outside alcohol or food is allowed, and those wishing to consume alcohol will need to be 21 years of age or older, have their I.D. checked and obtain a wristband. Beer and wine tickets are sold at the ticket booths using cash, credit card or mobile payment. Each ticket is worth $8 and can be used to purchase any alcoholic beverage (beer, craft beer, seltzers and wine). Individual food vendors will sell water and soda. 

Volunteer at RTB

Rock The Block is a large scale main street event that relies on volunteers to server beverages and sell tickets.  If you have a few hours to spare, consider becoming a volunteer.

About Us
Rock The Block is the result of an effort by Lake Zurich Mayor Tom Poynton and the Village Trustees to bring special events to the community, and in this case, specifically to the Downtown Lake Zurich area.
