What is Curfew?

Applies to those under 17 years of age - 720 ILCS - Child Curfew Act - Unless going directly to or from an official school activity or employment (or another statutorily authorized event), juveniles 16 and younger may not be in a public place without direct adult supervision between the hours of:  12:00 am to 6:00 am on Friday and Saturday nights, and 11:00 pm to 6:00 am on Sunday through Thursday nights.


Applies to those under 18 years of age - 625 ILCS - Graduate Driver's License Restrictions - Unless going directly to or from an official school activity or employment (or another statutorily authorized event), juveniles 17 and younger may not drive a motor vehicle unless under direct adult supervision between the hours of: 11:00 pm to 6:00 am on Friday and Saturday nights, and 10:00 pm to 6:00 am on Sunday through Thursday nights.
