Our Aggregation Program Switches to New Provider MC Squared in July 2020
The Village of Lake Zurich is pleased to announce that its continuing its electric aggregation program with a 36-month renewal effective from July 2020 to July 2023. Under municipal aggregation, local officials bring citizens together to gain group buying power for the purchase of competitively priced electricity from an alternative electric supplier.
With new market conditions, the Village has secured an alternative aggregation supplier and selected MC Squared Energy Services, LLC ("mc2"), to serve the community with electricity supply. mc2 will provide eligible residents and small businesses with an electricity supply price exactly equal to the ComEd rate for a 36-month term beginning with the July 2020 meter read cycle, effective until July 2023.
This rate impacts only the "supply" portion of your ComEd bill, not the total bill. The "delivery" and "taxes / fees" portion of your ComEd bill do not change by switching electricity suppliers or participating in aggregation programs.
