Main Street Concepts - Breezewald Park Pavillion
There is a unique opportunity to establish a gathering place within Breezewald Park to enjoy the tall trees and watch spectacular sunsets at the lake. It is envisioned for a private business to operate out of the pavilion, providing a selection of beverages and ready-to-eat snacks. Biergarten tables & benches, umbrellas and Edison-type lighting would provide a welcoming atmosphere for a low impact community destination without... late night operating hours.
Funding for this Main Street amenity is available through park fees derived from the recently green lighted construction of Somerset By The Lake at the corner of Main Street and North Old Rand Road.
Main Street Concepts - At The Promenade Opportunity
A site of individual parcels across from the Promenade on Main Street, now assembled of about 1.7 Acres in size, were purchased by the Village in 2007/08 and has remained vacant since then. Several proposals for condominiums, apartments and single family homes were entertained and reviewed by the Village Board with none of them evolving past the discussion stage. Throughout the review process the community provided extensive feedback on what use may best fit this prominent location. What would this site look like with a commercial structure?
The concept depicted is a multi-tenant retail, office space, restaurant, banquet use with extensive outdoor seating to provide a outdoor/indoor feel. Parking would be toward the rear of the building preserving and capitalizing on the lake view. The construction cost is estimated at $3.5 Million with opportunities for private or public-private partnerships.
The drawings are there to stimulate conversation, market the unique opportunity of the location by envisioning a commercial/retail use of a prime Lake Zurich location.
